ChevronTexaco February 22, 2005 C & C Technologies, Inc. recently completed ChevronTexaco's Blind Faith hazard survey with its C-Surveyor I AUV. The scope of work included a development survey in Mississippi Canyon 695 & 696 and a pipeline hazard survey from Blind Faith to the Na-Kika development. The C-Surveyor I AUV, launched from her mother ship R/V Rig Supporter, collected high-resolution multibeam, subbottom and side scan sonar data in water depths ranging from 1900 meters to 2100 meters. Presently, the R/V Rig Supporter is completing numerous Gulf of Mexico projects before mobilizing to Brasil for ChevronTexaco's Frade FEED Project. Upon completion of the survey, the R/V Rig Supporter will transit to West Africa, while C & C finishes assembling its next generation C-Surveyor II AUV for Gulf of Mexico operations. To date, C & C has performed over 40,000 kilometers of deepwater AUV surveys on 71 different projects since January 2001.
